I Told You
Edgerrin James repeats to his son Edgerrin, Jr. aka Jizzleman, "See. I told you they would score, I told you," Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at Naples High School. The two faced off in regular season play.
He will be enshrined in the Indianapolis Colts Ring of Honor Sunday, Sept. 23, 2012.
James played for Immokalee High School, University of Miami, Indianapolis Colts, Arizona Cardinals, and Seattle Seahawks. He is the 11th all-time leading rusher with 12,246 yards.
Now retired, at age 33, he enjoys playing the position of father with his six children despite the loss of their mother Andia Wilson to cancer in 2009. When not running his charitable foundation, he's running his business of investing and real estate. Successes are now measured by the accomplishments of his children and the surrogate ones coached. "Football couldn't last forever, it ran its course," James said.
He is eligible for the National Football Hall of Fame in 2016 (UPDATE: which he made in 2020). (Corey Perrine/Naples Daily News)
